Okay - I think this is kind of James Bond like, but I suppose it is also a good way to keep corporate espionage at bay. Find one of these remote control hard drive destroyers.
From Boing Boing
The Washington Post’s Security Fix blog has a story about an alleged Ukrainian cybercrime boss named Dmitry Ivanovich Golubov. The story itself is interesting, but the part that stuck out was this gadget, called a “raskat” device, which comes with a wireless keychain fob that can remotely trigger the destruction of data on a computer hard drive.
Securityfix Raskat-Thumb Golubov doesn’t dispute that he owned a Raskat at the time, but he says he purchased it online to resell it…

Network solutions gets itself in the middle of controversy, it decides to suspend a web account over complaints - this is quite disturbing, a United States company censoring. No court told them they had to take it down, they just decided to pull the web site of a filmmaker because of some complaints. This is ludacris. It has started a big discussion at digg as well, and I know of people who are moving their web sites to different companies because of this. Apparently this is not the first time Network Solutions has pulled sites of the web because they were controversial.

Web host suspends site planned for anti-Koran film
Sat Mar 22, 9:37 PM ET
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - A U.S.-based web service, which Islam critic and Dutch right-wing lawmaker Geert Wilders planned to use to show his film critical of the Koran, said on Saturday that it had inactivated the site due to complaints.
“This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site’s content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy,” the company said on the site www.fitnathemovie.com.
Wilders, who has given few details about his 15-minute film, has said he plans to release “Fitna” on the Internet before the end of the month after Dutch broadcasters declined to show it. Fitna is a Koranic term sometimes translated as “strife.”
There are plenty of other places to buy domain names and get web hosting. I am not aware of godaddy.com or register.com doing any kind of things like this.

I was excited to tell Alice about my decision to get back into school, but she made me aware of several of the costs that I had not considered, and it kind of put a damper on the whole thing for me.
She started by asking me how much I was going to make from each massage that I gave when I had finished school and gotten my license, of course this varies quite a bit, but going with a 60 per hour massage as an average sounds great when you first think about it. Alice of course broke this down, and made me realize that I would have to give more than 100 massages just to pay for school and not even be making a profit.
Of course - there are many other costs associated with going back to school - extra books, extra time, time away from family and friends. Then there is money associated with the tuition - if I borrow money and have to pay back a student loan, there is more costs, and if I use my own money - then there is money lost there because that money could be invested and returning interest on that.
Ugh - the things we must do for a higher education.

I’m a big fan of natural things that help make you feel better, and many people already know about echinacea from the purple coneflower, even though there will always be scientific debate over how effective these natural cures can be, i know from experimenting on myself that echinacea, astragalus and some types of mushrooms certainly kick in the immune system, and they tend to give me a yeast infection just like antibiotics.
So if you are the kind of person that keeps a bottle of echinacea in the cupboard, I reccomend adding some reishi and shitake mushrooms to the mix along with astragalus. It wouldn’t hurt to have a little hgh and dhea as well.

I have been hearing several different commercial lately related to forclosures. I have heard some programs to call and get free information about buying foreclosed homes. Make big money from buying distressed real estate from home owners that have lost it tot he mortgage companies.
When I hear commercials like these the first thing I think about these days is that it is a sign of the times, there really are a lot of foreclosed homes out there in the market, and there are also many homes that will start to sell for less because the market is not doing well these days. I also think about how many american homes are distressed and falling into disrepair. With money tight many people are not spending that money into fixing up their homes. This will certainly affect home depot, lows and other similar businesses.
This is also bad for the moral of the country and will continue to erode the values of the neighborhoods everywhere. We need more more money to flow into the pockets of the people. I look forward to a day when everyone had plenty of money to keep their homes, cars, and lives in general in good repair.
Oh, back to the commercials, I also wonder if the commercials are for little shadow companies that are in business to help move some fo the properties since many of the banks are seeing a serious influx in the real estate that is being devalued that they now own. Just a few thoughts.
